February 2021 January white…. and wet
In this particular context, the 22nd of January Saint Vincent will be honoured more simply … this year a mass is dedicated to him but the lunch that usually follows does not take place. And the Saint of Vosne Romanée will remain in the same domain in 2021.
In the vineyard…
In this month of January, the weather is relatively wintery. Snow and morning frosts are on the programme before a mild spell at the end of January, which brings significant rainfall.
The pruning, arming and crushing work continues at the rhythm of the lunar cycles.
There are pits where the underground roots can be observed (seen in a small plot of the Brûlées).
In the cellar…
Bottling continues with the Nuits St Georges “aux Cras” and Vosne Romanée 1er cru “aux Brûlées” appellations.
