March 2024 Awaiting spring
In the vineyard…
To the rhythm of the lunar cycles, parcels are dismantled, pruned, plucked and the wood is drawn.
However, very wet weather conditions made the soils unworkable for some soil work.
Grafts were put in place.
In February, we can see weeping in the pruning wounds (ends of shoots).
This is the first sign that the vine is waking up and will start sending sap to the ends of the branches: rehydrating the buds that are waiting for spring.
In the cellar…
The ageing and surveillance of the wines continues.
