April 2022 End of winter work
In the vineyard…
This month of March is still fairly calm in terms of the evolution of the vegetation.
The temperatures are rather “mild” in the afternoon despite cool mornings.
At the very end of the month, the bud stage in cotton is more and more visible and on some grafts, development is more advanced.
After March 25, the “crying” is very regular.
This year again, a few cold days are announced for the first days of April with, perhaps, negative temperatures…. To be continued!!!
During a period without rain in March, the plots are worked under the row using discs.
The last transplants are also carried out in a favorable period.
The final pruning and burning ends at the very end of the month and the first branches are attached.
In the cellar…
The 2020 vintage is partially bottled with the appellations Vosne (Quatrain cuvée), Pourpre, Bourgogne Pinot Noir, Savigny les Beaune, Gevrey Chambertin, Bourgogne (Rouge Champs).
